Tokyo Nights London 2026: Sumo, Sushi and Sake in One Night

Watch sumo, eat sushi, drink sake — all in one evening. Tokyo Nights is bringing this dream to London from June to July 2026.

What Is Tokyo Nights?

Tokyo Nights is an immersive dining experience combining sumo wrestling, sushi, and sake. It was announced following the massive success of the Grand Sumo Tournament held in London in October 2025 — the first time in 34 years.

The venue is Borough Hall in Greenwich, transformed into a space inspired by Tokyo’s streets. A dohyō (sumo ring) sits at the centre, surrounded by dining and viewing areas. Four former professional sumo wrestlers will perform live.

The creative team behind Tokyo Nights includes producers from Secret Cinema, Grand Expedition, and Chambers of Flavour. Art direction comes from David Sharibani (Lord K2), a London-born, Tokyo-based artist with rare access to sumo stables and the Kokugikan. He’s bringing that authentic atmosphere to Greenwich.

What Can You Experience?

Sumo
Seating surrounds the dohyō, putting you close to the action. Four former professional wrestlers perform in a format that’s part sport, part theatre. Guests are divided into “Heya” (stables) to cheer for their side — it’s participatory, not passive.

Sushi
The food partner is Sticks’n’Sushi, a popular Danish-Japanese restaurant chain with locations across London. Dining ticket holders get a three-course menu.

Sake
Sake flights, cocktails, and Japanese-inspired drinks throughout the evening.
