## Age Restriction
Edinburgh has a strict age policy:
– **Applicants must be 16 or older**
– Under 16s are not accepted at the Edinburgh venue
– If you’re under 16, consider Leicester or one of the London centres
—
## Why Choose Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is the only JLPT centre in Scotland. If you’re based in Scotland or the North of England, it may be more convenient than travelling to London or Leicester.
– **From Glasgow:** About 50 minutes by train
– **From Newcastle:** About 1.5 hours by train
– **From Manchester:** About 3.5 hours by train
Edinburgh is also a beautiful city — consider making a weekend of it.
