Used when someone acts or does something while imagining a certain situation or role, even though it’s not actually true. Often used for mental preparation or to encourage a different attitude.

Please approach the meeting as if you were the CEO.

请以社长的心态参加会议。

Approchez la reunion comme si vous etiez le PDG.

Give it your all as if your life depended on it. (lit. “as if you were dead”)

拼死也要努力。
