おばあちゃんの週末しゅうまつ

カイトさんは、東京とうきょうの大学生だいがくせいです。Kaito is a university student in Tokyo.週末しゅうまつは、いつもうちにいます。At weekends, he always stays at home.本ほんを読んだり、テレビを見みたりします。He reads books, watches TV and so on.

ある日ひ、おばあちゃんから電話でんわがありました。One day, he got a phone call from his grandma.「カイト、週末しゅうまつは何なにをしているの？」"Kaito, what do you do at the weekend?"「うちで、本ほんを読んだり、ねたりしているよ。おばあちゃんは？」"I stay at home and read, sleep, that sort of thing. What about you, Grandma?"「わたしは、いそがしいよ。」"Oh, I'm busy."「土曜日どようびは、友ともだちとプールでおよいだり、カラオケでうたったりするの。」"On Saturdays I go swimming with my friends, sing karaoke and so on."「日曜日にちようびは、こうえんでダンスをしたり、えいがを見みたりするよ。」"On Sundays I dance in the park, watch films, that kind of thing."カイトさんは、びっくりしました。Kaito was amazed.「カイトも、いっしょに来くる？」"Would you like to come along too, Kaito?"

つぎの土曜日どようび、カイトさんはおばあちゃんとカラオケに行いきました。The following Saturday, Kaito went to karaoke with his grandma.おばあちゃんは、ずっと元気げんきにうたっていました。His grandma sang happily the whole time.カイトさんは、日曜日にちようび、一日中いちにちじゅうねていました。Kaito spent the whole of Sunday asleep.
