富士山ふじさんにのぼるために

ベンはロンドンの大学だいがくで日本語にほんごを勉強べんきょうしている。Ben is studying Japanese at a university in London.ベンの夢ゆめは、日本にほんへ行いって富士ふじ山やまにのぼることだ。Ben's dream is to go to Japan and climb Mount Fuji.

日本にほんへ行くために、ベンはカフェでアルバイトを始はじめた。In order to go to Japan, Ben started a part-time job at a café.体からだを強くするために、毎朝公園まいあさこうえんを走はしった。To get fit, he ran in the park every morning.山やまの地図ちずを読むために、漢字かんじもたくさん覚おぼえた。He also learnt lots of kanji so that he could read mountain maps.週末しゅうまつは、日本人にほんじんの友達ともだちと日本語にほんごで話はなす練習れんしゅうもした。At weekends, he also practised speaking Japanese with a Japanese friend.

八月はちがつ、ベンはやっと富士ふじ山やまに来きた。In August, Ben finally made it to Mount Fuji.周まわりには、世界中せかいじゅうから来きた人ひとがたくさんいた。There were lots of people around who had come from all over the world.元気げんきに歩あるき始はじめたが、三時間さんじかん歩あるくと、足あしが重おもくなってきた。He set off full of energy, but after three hours of walking his legs began to feel heavy.そのとき、七十歳ななじゅっさいぐらいのおばあさんが、楽たのしそうにベンの横よこを通とおっていった。Just then, a woman of about seventy walked cheerfully past him.「お兄にいさん、がんばって！」"Keep going, young man!"

夜よる、山やまの上うえの小屋こやで、ベンはあのおばあさんにまた会あった。That night, in a hut up on the mountain, Ben met the old woman again.「毎年まいとしのぼっているんですか。」"Do you climb every year?"「ええ。ここのラーメンを食べるために来くるのよ。」"Yes. I come to eat the ramen here."おばあさんは、おいしそうにラーメンを食たべていた。She was eating her ramen with obvious enjoyment.ベンも一杯注文いっぱいちゅうもんした。Ben ordered a bowl too.それは、今いままで食たべたラーメンの中なかで、いちばんおいしかった。It was the best ramen he had ever eaten.
