ひみつの準備じゅんび

土曜日どようびは、ルームメイトのミカの誕生日たんじょうびだ。Saturday is the birthday of Yui's flatmate, Mika.ユイはサプライズパーティーをすることにした。Yui decided to throw a surprise party.金曜日きんようびの夜よる、ミカが寝ねてから、ユイは準備じゅんびを始はじめた。On Friday night, after Mika had gone to bed, Yui started getting ready.

土曜日どようびの夕方ゆうがた、ミカが買かい物ものに出でかけた。On Saturday evening, Mika went out shopping.ユイは急いそいで部屋へやをかざった。Yui quickly decorated the room.六時ろくじになると、友達ともだちが次々つぎつぎに来きた。At six, their friends arrived one after another.みんな、手てに大おおきな箱はこを持もっていた。They were all carrying big boxes.

ミカが帰かえってきた。Mika came home.「お誕生たんじょう日ひ、おめでとう！」"Happy birthday!"ミカはびっくりして、それから笑わらい出だした。Mika was astonished, and then burst out laughing.テーブルの上うえには、ケーキが五いつつもならんでいた。There were no fewer than five cakes lined up on the table.みんな、ミカのためにケーキを買っておいたのだ。Everyone had bought a cake for Mika in advance.「ありがとう。明日あしたの朝あさごはんも、ケーキだね。」"Thank you.
