スリッパのまま

日曜日にちようびの夜よる、ハルトはソファーでテレビを見みていた。On Sunday night, Haruto was watching TV on the sofa.映画えいががつまらなくて、テレビをつけたまま寝ねてしまった。The film was boring, and he fell asleep with the TV still on.

月曜日げつようびの朝あさ、目めがさめると、もう八時はちじだった。When he woke up on Monday morning, it was already eight o'clock.「大変たいへんだ！遅刻ちこくする！」"Oh no! 時計とけいを見みると、八時二十分はちじにじゅっぷんだった。He looked at the clock. It was twenty past eight.「もういい。めがねなしで行いこう。」"Forget it. I'll go without my glasses."テレビはつけたままだったが、消けす時間じかんもなかった。The TV was still on, but there was no time to switch it off.ハルトはかばんを持もって、家いえを飛とび出だした。Haruto grabbed his bag and rushed out of the house.

駅えきで電車でんしゃを待まっていると、となりの人ひとが小ちいさく笑わらった。While he was waiting for the train at the station, the person next to him gave a little laugh.窓まどガラスに映うつった自分じぶんを見みて、ハルトもびっくりした。Haruto saw his reflection in the window and got a shock too.めがねは、ちゃんと顔かおにかかっていた。His glasses were right there on his face.そして、足あしは家いえのスリッパのままだった。And on his feet, he was still wearing his house slippers.「……今日きょうは、遅刻ちこくだな。」"…Looks like I'm going to be late today after all."
